Originally trained as a men's tailor Rickard Lindqvist graduated with a BA in Fashion Design from the Swedish School of Textile in June 2005. During and after his studies, he has worked for various companies such Vivienne Westwood, Nudie Jeans, Whipping Floyd and Filippa K. He has also dressed artists such as Håkan Hellström, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Whyte Seeds and Broder Daniel. In 2004 he was rewarded the Sisley award at the Mittelmoda fashion award in Gorizia, Italy. His work has been show and exhibited in Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Belgrad, Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Rickard's design is very much driven by intricate pattern construction but with the roots in classic tailoring. He combines the avante-garde with the classic in a way, which challenges the way we perceive our bodies and clothing.

Rickard is also as a Phd student at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, Sweden. The Research in fashion design at the Swedish School of Textiles has its focus on practice based design research with special emphasis on the development of methods for professional and experimental fashion design.
